摘要：A crane (10) includes a carrier (12), a superstructure (14) coupled to the carrier,the superstructure including a boom (32), and an optical detection system (400) having animage capture assembly (410) including one or more image capture devices configured tocapture an image of one or more of the carrier and the superstructure, and an opticalcontrol system (402). The optical control system is configured to detect one or moreobjects in the captured image, the one or more objects selected from: the carrier, thesuperstructure, and a marker (42), analyze the one or more detected objects, anddetermine a status of the boom based on the analysis of the one or more detectedobjects. The optical detection system and a method for determining the status of theboom are provided as well.
