我对经典的看法

Nowadays with the rapid development of science and technology,mass media are gradually flourishing,through which information is updating every now and then.Many things are abandoned,few are left at the same time.Replacement happens here and there,and so do our human being.There is always some change around the world,the biggest stage where we live in and all of us are its performers.Sometimes we feel lost,not knowing what to do.Sometimes we have the ambition to handle everything properly.Sometimes it does seem like something will disappear in the next second if one is not so careful about what is exactly in time at this moment.

To be frank,we do not have the capability of grasping everything in our hand.Consequently,what we should bear in mind is that we are able to manipulate certain issues,to a degree as well as make good arrangement,which is,obviously,not beyond our reach.Classics are typically one of them.So what about classics?It is true that they have endured the test of time,surviving the long river of history.However,some argue that the classics only represent the wisdom of the past.There is no point keeping treating them as precious as before.Our era being advancing,it is our responsibility to venture into the unknown and generate new understanding of man and nature.Honestly,I stand in neither side.I hold the view that classics have both merits and demerits.

It is my belief that everything happens for a reason,and classics are of no exception.What happens in today is also perhaps a reflection of what in the

past.Why classics are called classics,of course,has its reason.They have earned a reputation,making themselves understood and winning its popularity among people.Anyhow,they have been accepted and recognized in spreading to mass.We can easily figure out something helpful from the classics.Just as each coin has two sides,so do classics.We shouldn’t turn a deaf ear to their not so good impact.The discrimination against women,included in Confucius’ great mind,is undeniably deserved discarding.

So in conclusion,we can not simply put a positive or negative label on the classics.As the goal of communication is to improve,essence absorption and dross removing are necessary for the evolution of our society.
