My Day

Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm going to tell you all about my day. I wake up at 7 o'clock every morning because I have to get ready for school. First thing I do is use the bathroom and brush my teeth. Then I get dressed in my school uniform which is a blue skirt, white shirt, and red sweater.

After I'm all dressed, I go downstairs for breakfast. My mom makes me eggs, toast, and orange juice almost every morning. I like to put jelly on my toast. My favorite kind is strawberry! While I'm eating, my mom packs my lunch for school. She always includes a sandwich, an apple, some carrots, and a cookie or granola bar for a treat.

Once I'm done eating, I put on my backpack and head out the door. I only live a few blocks away from school so I walk there. Sometimes my best friend Sophia and her mom meet me halfway and we walk together. I really enjoy our little walks and chats before school.

We get to school around 8:15 and class doesn't start until 8:30 so we have a little bit of time on the playground before the bell rings. Sophia and I like to play on the swings or jump rope during this time. When the bell rings, we line up by class and head inside.

My first class of the day is math. We're learning about fractions and decimals this semester which I find pretty difficult. After math is language arts where we read novels, practice writing, and learn grammar. Next up is science where we just started a really cool unit on electricity!

At 11:30 we go to lunch and recess. I always eat the lunch my mom packs for me. For recess, I either run around playing tag with my friends or make up dances on the blacktop. Recess is only 30 minutes though which isn't near long enough if you ask me!

After lunch, we have social studies where we're learning about the history of our state which is kind of boring in my opinion. The last class of the day is art which is my favorite subject! We get to do all sorts of fun projects like painting, drawing, clay sculpting, and more. I just love being creative and making beautiful works of art.

The school day ends at 3:00pm. If my parents are working late, I go to an after school program at the community center. They have a homework room where I can get my assignments done, but they also let us play games and sports too. My dad usually picks me up around 5:30 and then we go home.

For dinner, we either cook something at home or go out to a restaurant. My favorite places to eat are the pizza place on Main Street or the Mexican food truck that parks near the park on Wednesdays. So yummy!

After dinner, we relax at home for a little while. I like to read books, draw pictures, or play outside if it's nice out. At 8:30, I take a shower and get my pajamas on. Finally, I go to bed around 9:00. Sleeping is probably my favorite part of the day if I'm being totally honest!

And that's a pretty typical day for me. Filled with school, activities, meals, and time with family and friends. While some parts can be boring, I try my best to find the fun wherever I can. Being a 4th grader keeps me pretty busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

My Day

Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 4th grader. Today I'm going to tell you all about my day from the time I wake up until I go to bed at night. Here we go!

I wake up every morning at 7am when my mom comes into my bedroom and opens the blinds to let in the sunshine. She says \"Rise and shine sleepyhead!\" which is her way of telling me to get out of bed. I don't like waking up early, but I know I have to go to school.

After getting out of my warm and cozy bed, I go to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. Mom helps me pick out my clothes for the day - usually jeans or shorts and a t-shirt with my favorite characters or sports team on it. Then I head to the kitchen for breakfast.

For breakfast, I love having pancakes or waffles. Mom makes them from a box that you just add water to. Sometimes I'll have eggs and sausage or bacon too. I also drink a big glass of orange juice to start my day. While I'm eating, I'll watch some cartoons on TV before it's time to catch the school bus.

The school bus picks me up at my house at 8am. I like sitting near the back with my friends Jacob and Emily. We talk and laugh during the ride to school which takes about 20 minutes. When

we get there, we head to our classroom to put our backpacks away before the first class starts at 8:30.

My favorite class is math because I like working with numbers and solving problems. My least favorite is English because I don't like reading the boring stories in our textbooks and answering questions about them. But I try my best in every class.

We get a break for snack time at 10am. I'll have an apple or banana along with a small bag of pretzels or crackers. We get to go outside for recess after snack for 20 minutes which is good because I have a lot of energy to run around and play tag or kickball with my friends.

Then it's time for more classes like science, social studies, art and music which I think are fun. We finally get to eat lunch at 12pm in the cafeteria. I'll usually have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some baby carrots, a cookie and a carton of milk or juice box. After lunch is my absolute favorite part of the school day - gym class! We get to run and play games and sports like basketball, soccer, dodgeball and my favorite, capture the flag. Once gym is over, it's just a couple more classes before the end of the school day at 3pm. I'll hang out on the playground for a little while until my mom picks me up, then we head home.

When I get home from school, I'm tired but also hungry again! So I'll have an after-school snack like apple slices with caramel dip, graham crackers or a small bowl of pretzels.

After my snack, I'll do my homework which usually doesn't take too long. I try to get it all done before dinner. For dinner, we'll have dishes like spaghetti, tacos, chicken nuggets or my favorite - cheeseburgers and french fries! Yum! After dinner, I'll play outside if the weather is nice or play video games inside until it's time for my bath and getting ready for bed.

Around 8pm, I'll take my bath then put on my pajamas and brush my teeth again. Mom and Dad will tuck me into bed and I get to watch a short TV show or have them read me a bedtime story. Finally, the lights go out at 9pm and it's off to sleep for me until the next fun day starts all over again tomorrow! Whew, being a 4th grader sure keeps me busy!

My Day

Hi! My name is Lily and I'm going to tell you all about my day. I wake up early, around 6:30 in the morning. The first thing I do is use the bathroom and brush my teeth. Then I get dressed for school. I wear my favorite blue jeans and a pink t-shirt with a rainbow on it.

Next, I go to the kitchen for breakfast. My mom makes me scrambled eggs and toast. I like to put jelly on my toast - strawberry is my favorite! I also drink a glass of orange juice. My little brother Timmy is still sleeping when I eat. He's only 3 years old so he doesn't have to wake up as early as me.

After lunch, we have writing class where we work on our stories and essays. I really enjoy creative writing! Then we have history class where we learn about important people and events from the past. Today we talked about Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president.

Finally, at 2:45 the bell rings for the end of the day. Emma and I gather our backpacks and homework and head outside to wait for the buses. On the ride home, I read a book for fun. in between subjects to play outside or watch a TV show. For dinner, we have chicken, rice, and broccoli - one of my favorites! After dinner, I take a bath to get clean before bed. Then I put on my pajamas, brush my teeth again, and read a bedtime story with my mom. Finally, I snuggle under the covers and go to sleep around 8:30. I'm always tired after such a busy day!

Well, that's what a typical day is like for me! Between all my classes, homework, meals, and play time, the day goes by super fast. But I look forward to doing it all over again tomorrow. Being a 4th grader is fun and exciting with so much to learn!

My Day

Hi! My name is Emily and I'm a 4th grader. Today I'm going to tell you all about my day. It was a pretty regular day, but I like my regular days a lot!

I wake up at 7am every morning. My mom comes into my room and gently shakes me to wake me up. \"Time to get up, sleepyhead!\" she says with a smile. I stretch my arms out wide and let out a big yawn. Slowly, I climb out of my cozy bed.

First thing I do is go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. I make sure to brush really well for 2 whole minutes, just like the dentist says. After that, I put on my school uniform - a navy blue skirt, white polo shirt, and black shoes. My favorite part is putting on my light blue butterfly hairclips!

Once I'm all ready, I head to the kitchen for breakfast. My mom always has it waiting for me on the table. Today I had scrambled eggs, whole wheat toast with strawberry jam, and a glass of orange juice. My favorite! I eat it all up quickly so I have time to pack my lunch.

For lunch I pack a turkey and cheese sandwich, an apple, a bag of baby carrots, a yogurt cup, and a chocolate chip granola bar. I put it all carefully into my lunch box and grab my backpack. My backpack feels like it weighs a ton with all my books and folders inside!

At 8am, my mom walks me the three blocks to my

elementary school. We always leave a little early so we have time to stop and pet all the dogs we see on the way. I just love dogs! They're all so cute and fluffy. We finally make it to my school and I give my mom a hug goodbye. \"Have a great day!\" she calls as I run off to join my friends.

My first class of the day is math. We've been learning about multiplication and division. I really like math because I'm good at it and find it fun to solve the problems. My teacher, Mrs. Garcia, is really nice and makes math easy to understand.

After math, we have reading time. We take turns reading out loud from our reading books. I love the book we're reading now about a girl who finds a magic seashell. Reading out loud in front of everyone used to make me nervous, but not anymore!

Around 11am it's time for recess! Recess is my favorite part of the day. I get to run and play outside for a whole 30 minutes. Me and my best friends Sarah and Lily like to play on the jungle gym and swings. Sometimes we also play tag or jump rope. We run around and get good and sweaty, having so much fun! After recess, we go back inside for lunch time. I eat my yummy packed lunch while chatting and laughing with my friends. We all trade snacks sometimes which is fun. I really like Lily's chocolate chip cookies! When the bell rings, we head outside again to run around for a few more minutes before afternoon classes.

My last two classes of the day are science and art. In science, we're learning about the life cycle of butterflies right now. We even get to watch the caterpillars turning into butterflies in our

classroom! Art is my absolute favorite subject. Today we got to finger paint and make beautiful colorful designs. I had paint up to my elbows but it was so worth it!

Finally, at 3pm the final bell rings and school is out for the day. I meet my mom out front and we walk back home together. On the way, I tell her everything I learned and did in my day at school. When we get home, I have a small snack like apple slices with peanut butter and then I do my homework. Tonight I just have math worksheets which doesn't take too long.

After homework, I get to relax and play for the rest of the evening! Sometimes I play outside on my swing set or

trampoline. Sometimes I play inside with my dolls or games. And sometimes I just watch TV shows and movies. Before bed, I take a warm bubbly bath where I can stay as late as I want playing with my bath toys.

Then it's time to put on my pajamas, brush my teeth again, and snuggle up in my cozy bed. My mom reads me a bedtime story and gives me a big hug and kiss on the forehead. \"Night night, sweetie! I love you!\" she says. I fall asleep feeling happy, safe and loved, ready to do it all again tomorrow.

That's pretty much my regular day! Of course, weekends are a little different since I don't have school. But I like my weekday

routine a lot. School can be hard sometimes, but it's also really fun. I learn so much new stuff every day! I'm so lucky to have such a happy life full of family, friends, activities, and lots of love. I can't wait for another day just like this one!
