摘要：The stitch and guard cams (16, 17) Figs. 1 and 4, not shown, for operating thecylinder needles of a multifeed cylinder-and-dial machine are mounted on a ring (15)forming an upper cam box for the cylinder needles. The ring (15) is secured to a lowerring (12) capable of being slightly rotated about the cylinder so as to enable the cylinderstitch and guards at each feed to be simultaneously adjusted relative to the needlecylinder and the dial cams. The position of the draw of the cylinder needles can thereforebe adjusted relative to the position of the draw of the dial needles. The remaining camssurrounding the needle cylinder are retained in a lower cam cylinder box (7) and comprisecams influencing the butts on jacks positioned beneath the cylinder needles, the jacksbeing capable of being tilted by selector cams to bring their butts out of the range ofthe cams when desired. The ring (12) is provided with an upstanding pin (20) which isengageable by a lever (18), Fig. 2 not shown capable of being moved to adjust theposition of the ring (12). The lever has locking bolts (22) which can retain the ring in anyparticular position in which it has been set.
