摘要：A method of analyzing a volumetric data set obtained by an imaging systemfrom an object is provided includes defining a first region of interest comprising apopulation of voxels of a first tissue part of the object to obtain a first distribution ofradiation attenuation coefficient values, defining a second region of interest comprising asample of voxels of a second tissue part of the object to obtain a second distribution ofradiation attenuation coefficient values, and distinguishing the second tissue from thefirst tissue using the properties of the first and second distributions of radiationattenuation coefficients.
