It’s like a joke when life guards behind world’s top swimmers but life guards are important during swimming events in Olympics. There may be an emergency occurring like the possibilities of debilitating cramps, heart attacks and head-crunching crashes into the wall.

and in Rio 2016 “It is a Brazilian law that any public pool over a certain size has to have lifeguards,” Ricardo Prado, the sport manager for aquatics, told Reuters.
